Meet Jasmine, Founder of Therapy for the Culture

She is the founder and clinical director. As a national board-certified licensed professional counselor, she has extensive experience in providing culturally responsive therapy that caters to the unique needs and experiences of BIPOC communities.

Her passion for cultural understanding has led her to travel to over twenty-three countries, immersing herself in different cultures and learning from their knowledge. This experience has enriched her work, enabling her to incorporate a global perspective in her practice. She firmly believes that understanding and appreciating different cultures is essential in providing effective therapy that respects and honors the diversity of her clients.

Specializing in cultural relational therapy, she assists her clients in breaking old habits rooted in survival and to build healthy and meaningful relationships that reflect their cultural values and contribute to their overall well-being. Her international experiences have provided her with valuable insights that she uses to create a safe and inclusive space for her clients to explore their cultural identity and overcome any mental health challenges they may face.

Meet Sindhu


Sindhu brings a wealth of experience in treating a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, various types of trauma, and challenges related to self-esteem and self-image. She is adept at addressing grief and loss and couple and family concerns such as conflict resolution, boundary setting, and communication difficulties. Her proficiency also encompasses gender and sexuality, wellness, spirituality, mindfulness, and guiding clients through developmental and life transitions.

Sindhu's practice is distinguished by her dedication to serving diverse populations, encompassing different ages, races, cultures, genders, sexual orientations, physical abilities, neurodiversities, and citizenship statuses. Her therapeutic approach uniquely blends holistic methods with traditional counseling, integrating Dance/Movement Therapy with verbal psychotherapy techniques. Committed to a collaborative process, she explores clients' desires and needs, employing positive regard, narrative building, and strength utilization to foster success and growth. Sindhu believes in empowering clients to understand their motivations and the impact of the world on them, paving the way for crafting their desired future. She invites those interested in embarking on a therapeutic journey to reach out and begin their path to self-discovery and personal development.

Meet Halle

Halle Walcott,
Recipient of the 2023 Mental Health Counseling award from National Board of Certified Counselors

Halle Walcott is a Master’s level graduate at Rutgers University Counseling, in their Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master’s program. Halle is a National Board-Certified Counselor fellow. She has experience working with young adults and individuals with disabilities. She specializes in working with underserved communities such as BIPOC and LGBTQ+. She takes a collaborative approach when helping clients on their healing journey. Halle uses a mix of mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, and solution-focused approaches. However, she is flexible within her modalities to ensure she cultivates an individualized plan unique to her client. Halle hopes to propel her clients forward in their journey toward self-love, growth, and healing.
